"But I can't do that like they can. What I'm doing is nothing compared to what they're doing. How will God be able to use me?"

Hey GEM girls! I've been guilty of saying things like this before.
Do you remember the parable of the talents? In this parable, Jesus told a story of a master who would be going on a long journey. Before he left, he gathered together his three servants. He gave one servant five talents, another servant two talents, and the last one received just one. The master then leaves to go on his long journey.
During the time the master was gone, the servants began working diligently to make good use of their master's money. Eventually, they all doubled the original amount given to them by their master. That is, all except the man who received one talent. He couldn't think of anything he could do with just the one talent, since his master had given the other servants more than him. So he buried the talent in the dirt and went on with his life.
But one day, the master returned. He gathered his servants together to give a report on what they had done with the talents they were given. He was pleased with the reports of the first two servants, but the third servant had a different story. When his master found out what he had done with his talent, he was very disappointed, and things didn't end very well. You can read the full story in Matthew 25:14-30.
There are a few lessons we can take from this Jesus' parable. Although it might seem like our talents and gifts are small compared to what other people can do, it still matters in God's eyes. He can take those "small" talents that we have and multiply them, if we're willing to put in the effort. Although we might not be able to see how our "small" efforts were able to make a difference, our daily faithfulness in the little things will go a long way.
How have you been able to use your talents to be of service to God? Let us know in the comments!
Also, if you have any ideas for future posts, please let us know! 😊
Blessings!

SO true, Elizabeth!! Sometimes it's so easy to get caught in that unhealthy and false way of thinking that you're not that talented. I deeply love music, and I try to serve God by singing hymns at church, or accompanying the church choir when they need me. Although these acts are small, like you said, I know that God can use them in some way to reach others!
